Our team joined The Gettysburg Ghost Echange for an overnight lockdown event. The inside was absolutely beautiful and clean. The atmosphere as a whole was wonderful. The rooms were incredible and the food was great. The cook knows his stuff and treated us very well both at dinner as well as breakfast. Possibly our worst dining experience ever, and we eat out a lot. First of all it was difficult to make a reservation. When we arrived and gave the receptionist our name, she acted like she knew who we were, but we were placed in the fartherest, most remote corner of the restaurant even though there were only 6 other people dining and plenty of empty tables. When we inquired if we would be able to see the show from our table, the receptionist moved us to another room - a small parlor-type room with 5 tables, 4 of which were set for dinner, but we wee the only ones there. One other couple eventually showed up. It was 30 minutes before a server appeared, and we had to ask to place a drink order. It took 15 additional minutes to get my mixed drink - a total of 45 minutes after we arrived. Throughout the evening I was never asked if I wanted another drink. This was indicative of the poor service throughout the evening. Dinner was more disappointing than the drink service. We were not given eating utensils or a napkin, so I had to retrieve 2 sets of silverware from an unused table. We were not provided spoons or even a straw to stir sweetener into the unsweetened iced tea so I had to use a knife as a stir. My wife ordered pork medallions. They were very small and very thin. I ordered medium rare prime rib. Nothing on either plate was more than warm. Dessert was advertised as freshly baked pie, but it was dry cheesecake with a horrible topping. We both wanted coffee with our dessert, but no one ever appeared to offer coffee until at least 15 minutes after we were finished with dessert. The performer was a nice enough older gentleman who sympathized with us for the poor service. I am usually a generous tipper leaving at least 20% when service is good and more when it is outstanding. This is the first time I ever left a restaurant without leaving a gratuity. You will get better food and better service at any other restaurant anywhere. My husband and I stayed at The Fairfield Inn awhile ago. We were very pleased with everything. We arrived pretty late, but the check in was very simple. When we got to our room, it was clean and very charming. The entire inn is gorgeous and adds to your trip to Gettysburg. The breakfast was delicious each morning we stayed. The manager even sat with us one morning and gave us some ideas about how to spend our day in Gettysburg. We will definitely stay again! We loved this place. Visited the Fairfield Inn restaurant for business dinner in June 2018. We had a set menu for a group business dinner. I chose crab cake and it was very tasty. Blueberry cobbler dessert was very nice also. Overall it was a nice dinner experience. We stayed here at the inn so decided to have dinner here also. Our waitress has been working here at the Inn for 16 years. She was so sweet and we just loved her. They serve biscuits instead of dinner rolls and local honey to go with. They were really good. Myself and my friend shared The Brigadier Bacon Cup, which was delicious. We are both from Maryland and tend to shy away from crab dishes when out of state because it's never quite what we're used to so this was a most pleasant surprise. We also shared an order of the Cannon Ball BBQ Sliders. These were disappointing at best, and the only downside in our whole meal. Sadly, they went back uneaten. We each had a cup of their Thaddeus Stevens French Onion Soup. We could have stopped here and been completely satisfied but we had ordered entrees so more eating for us. It was cooked just right and had a good flavor. My friend had Bunker Hill Beef Tips. It looked amazing and she was really happy with her meal. We are taking the ladies of our families back to spend a weekend in Gettysburg at the Inn. We will most definitely be having dinner at the tavern again when we go back. Great customer service when I checked in! A nice new and clean hotel! I love the way the rooms are designed. Loads of plugs and USB ports all over, great TV s and a comfortable setting area. My room had the mini fridge and micro. However, I have 1 beef that will probably prevent me from staying here again which is the 9 am closing time for breakfast. This has to be one of the earliest in the industry. Mist are 10 and some are 9. Because the Fairfield Inn was hospitable to the defeated, retreating Confederate officers on July 4, 1863, I had to have a taste of their fare. I have met my match: I downed, slowly, deliberately, about a quarter of the quite large slab of half-inch-thick ham and go-boxed the balance, enough to spread over the next two weeks a few bites at a time. I don't remember a thing about the rest of the dinner except that I was not displeased at having chosen the old stone house as a birthday dinner site. Had wanted to visit the Fairfield Inn for some time. It's one of the oldest continuous running inns in the country. We started with a bacon and crab appetizer. Followed that with their famous bean soup. My wife and I both had the chicken and biscuits which they are known for. It was different than chicken and biscuits that I've had but it was delicious. Our server was Jenna and she did a great job. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Inn.

Ein Internetzugang per Kabel ist in den Zimmern gegen eine Gebühr in Höhe von 4. The performer was a nice enough older gentleman who sympathized with us for the poor service. The shower was amazing, loved the pressure and softness. They even left my son a birthday card and gift on the bed because he told them it was his birthday when we checked in.
